MOVE BETTER. LIVE BETTER.

Dry-Needling.jpg

Dry Needling is a therapeutic modality in which fine needles are inserted in to trigger points (painful knots in muscles) to stimulate a healing response. The purpose of Dry Needling is to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve muscle function. While Dry Needling uses the same types of needles and equipment, it is not acupuncture, and does not follow the use of meridians for the treatment of diseases. Dry Needling techniques follow a medical model and musculoskeletal anatomy to treat pain and dysfunction for a variety of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Neck Pain

  • Back Pain

  • Shoulder Impingement

  • Elbow Pain/Tennis Elbow

  • Knee Pain

  • Shin Splints

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Tendonitis

  • Headaches

Our therapy team has advanced clinical training in Dry Needling, and can perform this modality in the office as part of a regular treatment session. Presently, most insurance companies do not cover the cost of Dry Needling, however you can elect to add this service to a visit for a low cost.
